2014 end of year game and drinks!

19 Dec 2014 - It's the last day of work for 2014! And also the last friday football for the year :( But let's have fun and make it memorable! It was a small game but fun. We even had a guest player called Bradley who didn't seem too happy when we asked him if he wanted to play. Poor Alex injured his back while saving a goal :( And for those of us who could hang around afterwards we finally went to the pub for some post-game drinks like we've always talked about!! It was hot so a drink was definitely a good idea! Not so sure about the chips that we waited forever for...... Happy holidays to all of our football group and to those who have returned home overseas! You guys are all awesome! Here's to a great 2015 ahead with lots of good football!!!!!!

Wembley!

12 Dec 2014 - With a few no-show's we only had 7 players today :( But we still had a lot of laughs! After Ben headed back to work we were down to 6 and Mike came up with a brilliant suggestion to play Wembley. This was new to the rest of us and we learnt how to be ball hogs and goal hangers :D A lot of fun was had and many laughs - thanks all who were there for making it a fun time despite the lack of numbers!

5 Dec 2014 - The forecast was for thunderstorms but the weather (almost) always clears up for football!! But it was hot so maybe some rain would have been nice! Andrew T played for the first time since leaving the company many years ago, it's good to have him back! Alex was wearing new boardies which he got for free... jealous!

Special mention to Nicky and Dave who came out despite not being at work!

Only 2 weeks til the Christmas party game... can't wait! Hope you all will make it :)

We are back!

28 Nov 2014 - We are back! It was hot but not as hot as last week and numbers are a little low with lots of people away but we managed to get a game anyway! Giorgio made his return after a long absence hurrah! He was also eager to end the game when we were struggling with "last goal" and he made our goals about 5 metres wide (and still it took a while). There should have been a photo but my phone complained about "overheating" and wouldn't let me take any shots... so there's only one photo :(

Only 3 Friday's left for this year's Friday Footy! Don't forget we'll have our little Xmas party on the last day of work 19th December!

21 Nov 2014 - Where are the football photos? With many players away we could have tried to persevere with finding a game but if you were in Sydney on this particular friday you probably wouldn't think football was a good idea. It was HOT! Below is a photo showing what I did at lunchtime instead of football - what did the rest of you guys get up to instead? Leave a comment and let's see who had the best football-alternative! :) Here's hoping for a milder forecast for next week's game!!!

14 Nov 2014 - Oh boy it was a hot day for the game!!! So hot that we enforced the rule that whoever kicks the ball far away has to retrieve it... and so hot that we actually had a drinks break!!! But it was still great fun :)

And where is scouser Dave? He was waiting for the arrival of his baby girl who was born on the friday afternoon - congratulations Dave! :)

07 Nov 2014 - It could be scouser Dave's last game for 2014 :( So let's make it a good one! And just in time our fields have been reopened! Yay!!! So much space and nice flat ground to play on!
